P7 – Pulsed Electric Fields (PEF) for Recovery of Components from Microorganisms

Compared to conventional methods, PEF based treatments of microbial biomass offer various advantages for component recovery and bacterial inactivation. New findings will be highlighted in this session including the use of PEF based treatments in the fermentation process, extraction of recombinant proteins, valorization of biomass, bacterial decontamination and processing of microalgae.
